Mental Health Solicitor & Panel Member wanted to join our Tring team

    The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Solicitor and Panel Member to join our team based in Tring, Hertfordshire.

The firm is young and ambitious and has grown organically in both reputation and size over the last 14 years. We have a good reputation for providing a professional service and pride ourselves on the quality of our representation.

You will be part of strong team who are all committed to providing an excellent service to our clients and will help represent mental health clients at Tribunals and generally - experience of Upper Tribunal appeals will differentiate but is not essential. As a firm we are fortunate enough to run many interesting cases at Tribunal level, on appeal to the Upper Tribunal and on occasion all the way to the Supreme Court.

The department as you would expect is busy and there is quite a lot of ‘running around’ which goes hand in hand with keeping on top of the paperwork - knowledge of compliance in terms of the LAA and Lexcel would also be very beneficial.

A solid understanding and adoption of the firm’s culture and values is essential.

You will have proven experience and knowledge of:

    • Mental Health Law
    • Tribunal representation

    The Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A strong educational background
    • 1 - 3 years PQE
    • Proven workplace success
    • Mental Health Panel Membership
    • A client following of their own
    • Be a team player
    • Be results driven
    • Thrive under pressure
    • Impeccable client facing and relationship building skills
    • Have a passion for this area of law
    • Be able to adapt to our exacting standards
    • Contribute to work processes and systems
    • Be dedicated to improving efficiency and increasing fee income

    • Competitive and commensurate with experience
