The latest statistics for the period January to March 2013 show an increase in the number of Employment Tribunal claims. This period saw over 58,000 new claims in the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Tribunal accounted for 23% of all claims processed by the Courts Service. This was a 3% rise over the previous quarter.
In September, the Courts Service will publish the next quarters figures, which will be the last full quarter before the introduction of fees in the Employment Tribunal. We will have to wait until December/January before the results of this new era start to filter through and probably until the end of 2014 before we can see any real trend.
