Lucy is an associate solicitor in the Court of Protection department.

About Lucy

Lucy has a passion for representing the individual and/or family members within the Court of Protection, and has built extensive knowledge, experience and expertise.

Lucy is a keen and pragmatic, analytical person and has a particular strength in building and fostering positive working relationships with clients.

Where the individual lacks the capacity to instruct a solicitor for him/herself, Lucy can be instructed by a litigation friend, usually the Official Solicitor.

Lucy has particular expertise in:

  • Mental capacity and best interests
  • Deprivation of liberty safeguards
  • Court of Protection health and welfare matters
  • Challenging social care or continuing healthcare assessments
  • Direct payments
  • Complaints to the Local Government and Parliamentary and Health Ombudsmen
  • Appropriate provision of services within the home or in supported living/residential care
  • Judicial review of local authorities and NHS Trusts
